Using paint strips to categorize adjectives

We had packets of 6 words and our job was to use paint strips to categorize the "strength" of the words from weakest (lightest paint chip color) to strongest (darkest paint chip color). The catch? Everyone in the group had to agree! 

Second grade has awesome parents!

We had a fun time at our Easter celebration! Thank you so much to Nathan's mom, Jonah's mom, Gavin's mom, Laina's mom, and Martin's mom for helping our class this afternoon- we all loved it!

Uh oh- New 2nd grade rule!

We arrived today to find our chairs GONE from the classroom! Then...Mrs. St. Louis made an all-school announcement that due to a new law by the Big Bend Mayor, all second graders were required to stand during all classes except Art and Music! Luckily, our incredibly smart and attentive class remembered a fact we had just learned from our Leadership unit in Social Studies- that Big Bend does not have a mayor! April Fools! We went outside (on the sidewalk!) to collect our chairs!
